Dr. johannes Wimmer
"Caregiving is a profound journey that challenges both the heart and mind, but with the right knowledge and support, caregivers can find resilience and compassion that enriches both their lives and those they care for."
„The tasks of a caregiver also include the daily examination of the person in need of care. What does the skin surface look like, is there any redness, small wounds or pressure ulcers? Don't worry – in an emergency, wound care is provided by professionals. But we train you to recognize when something is wrong. And I am happy to be able to support you here with my medical expertise.“

Which courses are offered?

Family caregiving requires both emotional strength and practical skill, and our courses together reflect this balance. Caregiving essentials lays the groundwork by introducing the central challenges and responsibilities faced by families, offering reassurance alongside practical guidance. Discharge: from hospital to home then focuses on one of the most difficult moments in caregiving, helping families manage the stress and logistics of moving a loved one from hospital care back into the home environment. Finally, Dementia: a caregiver’s guide provides specialized support for those caring for someone with dementia, combining expert knowledge with empathy and encouragement. Importantly, the content across these programs is continuously being expanded and adapted to meet the evolving needs of caregivers, ensuring that support remains relevant, practical, and compassionate.
